The number of unemployed people in the country are currently 6 million. The labor force survey came up with the figure reported in Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS). However, it did not give the number of educated and uneducated unemployed.
This is a workshop on Tuesday in connection with the survey. Kabir Hossain, project director of the workshop highlighted these issues. He said the company will soon release the official results of the survey.
The workshop is at Agargaon figures. Amir Hossain presided over the organization's director general.
Ceremony was also attended by Secretary of the Department of Statistics and Information Management KM Haque, Additional Secretary ABM Zakir Hussain, Additional Director General of Bayt al-Amin bhuiyam BBS, Industry and Labor Wing Subrata Ghosh, among others.
Kabir Hossain said the workshop, the number of people working in the country of 10 million to 60 million.
Citing data from the survey, he said, decreasing the number of workers in the agricultural sector. These workers are leaving the industry. The industry is going into the service sector.
