The three-day national exhibition starts on Friday (June 16th). On the same day, fruit tree plantation activities will also be started. The exhibition will be from 16 to 18 June. The fruit tree plantation activities will continue till June 30. The theme of this year is 'Want health nutrition money, planting native fruit trees.'
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Mosharraf Hossain told the media at the conference room of the Directorate of Information Department on the occasion of fruit tree plantation and national exhibition exhibition. Chief Information Officer Kamrun Nahar was also present.
Mosharraf Hossain said that there are separate stalls of different fruits in the region. The fruits of the northern region, Bhawal and Madhupur region, fruits of the coastal region, fruits of the hilly region, these fruits will be set up in the fair. In addition to the Department of Agricultural Extension, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation, and the exhibition of 75 stalls of government and non-government organizations.
He said that this exhibition will be held at the auditorium of AQM Ghiyasuddin Milki Auditorium in the capital's Farmgate. Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will be the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury will be special guest. Agriculture secretary Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah will chair the function.
Mosharraf Hossain said that more than 130 varieties of fruit in the fair will be displayed in the fair. The fair will be open from 9am to 8pm every day for the general public. In the fair, visitors can purchase different varieties of chemicals free of cost.
